Love complex is a japanese romantic comedy based on a manga, the movie was directed by Kitaji Ishikawa. It tell the story of Risa a japanese high school girl who is very tall and was rejected by a boy because she was taller than him. It also tell the story of Otani a short high school boy who was rejected by a girl because he was smaller than her. The two of them became best friend after finding out that they had many things in common. With the help of their very coloful friends, Risa’s sister and a really cute and sexy teacher’s assistant, both of them will learn to realize their feeling that they share for one and other.
I was sure that the movie was more recent than that, but it’s from 2006, but even if it’s a 10 years old movie, the story aged well and we can still relate to it. The fashion is not too old so it doesn’t feel like a old movie. The movie is funny but sometimes feel a little long. It shows us that love is not a easy feeling to control and that most of the time logic will go out of the window! The movie is light, cute and funny, but one thing I really didn’t like was the narration in English, most of the time I could understand what the narrator was saying even with the big speaker on, I’m not sure if it was the articulation or the pronunciation but I couldn’t understand it!
